Howdy Y’all !
I’m Hyunjee, aka Angie
as an Art Director and Graphic Designer.

I recently graduated with an Advertising Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and studied Art Direction in the Texas Creative Portfolio Sequence, which is competitive in cultivating art directors and copywriters.

I have concerns about the world full of obvious things and try to look things upside down. Reality, logic, rules, math, naps, coffee, and buffalo wings are not my closest friends. When I was younger, I enjoyed drawing cartoons and writing Sci-Fi or fantasy novels behind teachers’ backs. Themes like magic, dragons, demons, afterlife, multiverse, and time travel are my favorites. I used to have some quirky, surreal dreams and write down them on my notes before I forgot. While the world is riddled with discomfort, I care much for all beings on Earth and have curiosity about them. Jellyfish learn from experience without brains, and cactuses survive in barren deserts — all of which I definitely should emulate!

I've been to 14 countries as I'm curious about this planet and never tired — Travel fanatic, of course. I lived in Ireland for a year a few years ago, but Irish accents are tough. Still I love their red hair, freckles, and busking. Austin, my first US city, used to be boots, Tex-Mex, country music, and bats to me, but I’m into its hippiness and weirdness as ever.

The question marks on the world and the journeys answering them have been inspiring me, giving birth to me layered with countless egos that never overlap each other. Like a unicorn duck cupcake candle, yeah my dearest thing I have. I'm constantly creating things by collecting and mixing them that have absolutely nothing to do with and stand on the opposite side of the world. This is how the Creator felt. I can feel thrilled and something bubbling inside whenever I see the things born out of my hands.

Do you want to find joy in unearthing my alter-egos that I haven't realized yet? Hit me up!
